Hello all. We used to be occasional posters on Squeaky pigs and have two rescue pigs (Jasper and Jeffrey) which we got from Louise last September. We are sad that Squeaky Pigs has closed down but Louise had to do what was right for her in the circumstances. Anyway this was just a quick post to say hello.

I'm Darcy, Add 10 + 3, and you'll get my current age. I'm from Cali. I've had cavies for 7 years, it'll be 8 soon, in Dec. I've started raising & showing cavies(I've had quite a few years to read about raising cavies). I'm in 4-H, I've got 6 cavies now, the number will go up soon. My cavies include: Casper The Ghost, Storm Cloud, Moca, Ivan, Ian, & Moca's baby, Mystic(Which was just born August 13, 2005!!! ;D ). I've also got about 4 goldfish(Goldy, Clyde, Rainbow, Rusty.), one miniature schnauzer(Domino: http://lildogdomino.tripod.com), 2 male siamese fighting fish[aka: bettas] (Blue Mars, & White Pebble), and two cats(Neco & Jasmine). I think that's enough to know about me. Later.

Hiya one and all, I'm Beks from Nottingham and a guinea lover!
I have 8 guineas currently ranging from 5 and a half down to 3 months old. 2 neutered boars Casper and Brian, and 6 girls, Maisie, Poppy, Pigwig, no name(can't decide yet) and Flake.
Maisie, Poppy and Pigwig all came from the petshop. No name and Flake are both rescues and came from Somerset and Scotland respectively. Casper came to me from a petshop but at a year old and dumped by his previous owner. Brian I also got from a pet shop but he had been badly bullied and attacked and had very bad wounds to his face - the petshop allowed me to have him, after I pointed out that'd it'd be months of care and vet costs to get him back to health.
Anyway, I'm 25 and work as a computer technician currently. I live with my dad, the gerts of course and a few fish. I did have a budgie but he passed on.....
Thanks for reading, take care!

Hi Beks Love the names of your piggies. I have 6 boars and 9 girls. Would tell u the names of them but currently on my website im running a fundraising event for the RSPCA Reading Guinea Pig Rescue called guess the name of the guinea pig. If i tell you the names of my piggies anybody would be able to shorten the list down of the names of piggies i have and find out the names of the piggy thats featured.

Hi everyone I'm Julia and I live in Exeter in Devon with my hubby, five children, a c_ockatiel ( I can't post without the hyphen ) and my six rescue dogs. Dogs, particularly rescues, are my passion and I moderate on a dog rescue board and homecheck for anyone in my area. I am a new piggy owner as of today. A stray piggy wandered into our home last Monday and despite our best efforts, we've not managed to flush out an owner so now seven days are up, the RSPCA say he is officially ours. Our piggy guest is now named Giles which means 'baby goat' in Greek apparently ;D He had some matted clumps of fur that needed cutting out and Wendy from this forum, who lives near me, gave him a much needed bath and now he just needs feeding up and to get some more confidence. Here he is Giles needs a new cage and a pal, I'd like another boy but there doesn't seem to be either gender about in rescue in my area so he may have a bit of a wait Looking forward to chatting with you all

Hi every body, hope you might remember me from the squeakypigs forum (Fudge, David,Flash & Sammy) and Oscar the hamster. Just a little bit about me, I'm on the wrong side of 55, still working hard and live in Hull, E. Yorkshire. All our lads are doing fine. Nice to see so many familiar names on here. Barry

Hiya, Im new to this forum (I didnt realise this post was here and also said hiya on another thread....doh!) Im 28 and have 5 piggies. Harry is 2 years and Luna is 1 year. They both came from seperate pet shops before I realised the importance of adopting. Dusty is approx 1, I adopted her from sprowston guinea pig rescue in norwich after her owner no longer wanted her, she was adopted with Daisy who unfortunatly has since passed on! R.I.P Daisy. I also have Tails, age unknown, my only boar (neutered of course), who I adopted from a young girl who couldnt look after him. she bought a rabbit from someone who would only let her have the rabbit if the guinea pig went with it! So she took him and gave me a call. He had his op at the CCT and all went well. The youngest member of my piggie family is Sonic who is 2 months old, her Mum was rescued from that awful house in cromer where the rspca rescued over 300 animals, more than 80 being guinea pigs! Her Mum was pregnant and gave birth to 2 boars and little Sonic. The Mum was rehomed with an elder piggie and the 2 boars together so the rspca in cambridge called me and asked if I would take Sonic, they had heard from another rspca branch that I was looking for another piggie. They all live happily in a 2 level cubes and correx cage. Phew! Ive waffled on a bit havent I?! xxxxxx
