;D I think I might be getting some new Pigs at the weekend. I found a Rabbit and Guinea rescue just outside of Lancaster, and I'm gong to go on Sunday to have a look. Can any one think of any reason why I won't be able to rescue some Guinea's?

Hi Toria Ooh that's good that you found a rescue near to you. I hope you find some piggies you really bond with. I guess the rescue will ask you some questions about how/where you plan to keep the piggies and they may well want to do a home check before you are able to take the piggies home. I always think it's encouraging for rescues to have screening processes in place so they know the animals are going to a good home. Good luck with it all! Alex

Thanks for the help and advice you all gave to me whilst I have been looking for some piggies. ;D

As Alex says... rescues have the best interests of the piggys at heart. You know they are good if they check you out properly! Good luck! I'm sure they will be happy to let you adopt.

They have made themselves at home. (running around my feet as I type!) I got them from a rescue near to where I live in Lancaster. In aplace called Silverdale. The centre is called, Hutches and Crutches. And they were lovely people who ran it, really spent alot of time showing me and my kids around. Had a great day!

Great news, I hope you have hours of fun and love together. I myself have just taken on 8 rescue Guinea Pigs. They are an absolute delight with such a mix of character. All have very different reasons for being in the centre, but some one elses loss is my gain. i just wish more people rehomed rather than just deciding that they want a pet and going to the local pet shop/Garden centre. Enjoy your new life together and let us all know how they settle in. Amanda
