On Thursday 1st June at approximately 7.30am, Wilson passed away after a short illness. He was less than two years old.
Wilson was a real character - named after the Wilson tennis balls because of his chubby, round shape (ironic really that when he died, he had lost so much body weight), you could guarantee he would be calling the loudest at breakfast time.
He had long hair, which meant that he needed regular hair-cuts around his bottom, as he would end up with huge fur-balls made of shavings, hay, and anything else that he happened to walk through! He didn't mind the haircuts though, in fact he was a real talker, and seemed to relish the extra attention.
He was a favourite amongst his hutch-mates (I think they thought he was a girl - must have been the long hair!), and more than one fight broke out between Trouble and Flash competing for his affections - sadly Wilson came off worst, and ended up with a cut lip on one occasion.
He had a voracious appetite, right to the last, and could be knee-deep in his favourite treats and still be calling for more if he thought there was any to be had! He had a particular fondness for dandelions, and I made sure he was buried with a big juicy bunch!
He will be sorely missed.

Very sad to hear this news. He sounds like he was a much loved piggy. Thinking of you and his cage mates.
