My pig, Li'l Red Saphire, was found to have a systemic fungal infection. The vet didn't know anything about it, and I am not experienced with this-though I have had cavies for 7 years I never had one with a systemic fungal infection before. It was through a rodentologist that I found out, and Li'l Red is on itraconazole and seems to be recovering. The vet had done molar work, and didn't account for fungus, so poor L'il Red got worse before she got better. So now she goes to a more open-minded vet and she is recovering.
