I have two blk/wht dutch piggies. They have started to scratch and their hair comes out in a clump. Just going through the symptoms on the GG site.
Greasy hair, mabey hot to touch skin: They have glossy coats and their skin is pink and normal.
Heavy grit/scurf: No grit, scurf or dandruff at the end of the hairs when pulled out. Hair however is easy to pull out.
Intense scratching/biting: They have started to scratch more often than they used to
Question is do all these symptoms have to apply or can a pig with a fungal skin infection have mabey one or two of the symptoms?
They are getting a GG bath in the morning with the origional shampoo, but do you think they should have an oil soak first?

I would e-mail Chrissie through the site. She will give you her thoughts on what kind of a problem you are dealing with. I'm still inexperianced with skin... we have had small amounts of dandruff which was just treated with a shampoo and I have dealt with mites before but that was black dandruff...
