It is with much sadness to tell you that I had to have Missy put to sleep a week ago yesterday. I woke up to find she had lost the use of her back legs, her breathing had been bad for a couple of weeks so I decided that now was the time to let her go. She could only move round in circles which upset me greatly. She passed away in my arms at the vets. This is Missy through out her 10 year 3 month life with me and her friends. At 6 weeks. With her sisters at 1 year old, Poppy and Chuckles and boyfriend Scruffy. Missy at 3 years old, Poppy, Chuckles, Honey and Rosie Missy at 6 years old, Honey and Rosie. Missy at 8 with Honey. Missy at 9 with Tilly. Missy at 10 years old. Rachel x

So sorry to hear about your loss of Missy. Was it old age that did that? Also remember Missy was happy with you, but it was her time to go, and now she is in Piggy Heaven with all the other piggies. By the way Missy was a very beautiful piggy you had.

Thank you, yes I think it was old age. She had had a couple of fits over the last 4 months, I think they were miny strokes. I think she had a major stroke over that night, but obviously I can't be sure.

So very sad to hear this news Missy was a very special piggy and she had a fantastic, long life with you Rachel. It must be very hard getting used to not having her around after she has been in you life for over a decade... but you will always have those happy memories and the lovely pigtures too to remind you. She was a very lucky girl having a mummy like you who cared for her so well she was able to live so long, and so well... and to have had so many piggy friends too. I really don't think a piggy could have asked for more. Thinking of you Rachel. And I will get my act together and send you the keyrings as I imagine they will be more special now.

What a fantastic age! My oldest boys are four now, and I've already started worrying that they might not be here for much longer. Your post has given me hope that they could still have a long life ahead of them, and it is all credit to you that Missy had such a long and happy life. You should take comfort in the knowledge that you did all you could for Missy, and made a wise and brave decision at the end.
