Just a gentle reminder to check out the Barmy 4 boars website health section which has some useful tips to keep your piggys healthy as well as information about various conditions and where to get help if your piggy is sick. If you have a problem requiring urgent advice please consult your rodent specialist Always get help for your piggy as soon as you spot a problem or you could easily loose it Care and Caution please or we do more harm than good- PLEASE READ Alot of wonderful advice which we all benefit from can be given on any forum If you know for sure the dose and treatment is right then that is great. If you are not sure... say so! That way it can be checked. And nobody treats their pigs wrongly. Also please remember pigs are pigs, not horses, sheep, dogs etc. What works for another animal might not work for a pig... in the same way as it might not be suitable for a person! Assuming it is the same is very dangerous... If you feel you want to help someone but don't know, to avoid them feeling like they are being ignored perhaps you could post something like "sorry I can't help but good luck" etc. Personally I appreciate this allot. THINK before you post because otherwise more harm than good is being done and you could well have blood on your hands, even if its unintentional. PS> as an owner I always double check advice given... this is responsible behaviour. You can do this through books, websites, or ringing the Cambridge Cavy Trust (see the Barmy4boars links page)
